MARY DAVIS, 18, is a freshman in college. She has a worried look on her face as she sits on her bed. MRS. DAVIS, 42, is Mary’s mom. She looks as though she just stepped out of a J. Crew magazine. She places a picture of Mary and Mrs. Davis smiling on Mary’s desk. She kisses Mary on the forehead.
MRS. DAVIS
Don’t worry Mary, you’ll be fine.
Mrs. Davis walks to the door. Mary looks up at Mrs. Davis.
MARY
Bye mom.
Mary bites her nails.
INT. HALLWAY - DAY
Mary walks down the hall with her hands in her pockets.

CHRIS, 21, blasts music from his headphones, tapping his fingers on the kitchen table. KYLE, 22, takes a bite from his sandwich.

KYLE
I remember coming to college and being worried about where I’d fit in.
Chris leans back in his chair -- looking calm, cool, and collected.

I wasn’t nervous, I knew people would like me.

During the week I go to Roadrunner Central and see what events are going on. I usually buy tickets to see Broadway plays in the city or I’ll go to sports games.

I also like to attend weekly meditations on campus at the Krame Center.

I usually go to Hoboken, or my frat house.
KYLE
I go to Brady’s it’s a local bar close to school. It has a dance floor and it’s two floors.

NEW TOPIC: ADVICE YOU WOULD TELL YOURSELF IN COLLEGE
WILLOW
Before exams start I would meal prep for the week.
TIFFANY
During finals the library gets packed so I would go to a local coffee shop or the Starbucks on campus to study.

Did you know that we had a Starbucks on campus?
WILLOW
Yes.
TIFFANY
Oh, I just found that out the other day.
Willow shakes her head and they both laugh.
