Analysis Of The Cartoon: The Brave And DC Comics
On the cartoon Batman: The Brave and the Bold (and in DC Comics), Bwana Beast is one of the Dark Knight's crime-fighting colleagues. The raymond mill and cement mill never appeared in this cartoon. He's a D-list superhero whose powers enable him to combine two animals into one: a mosquito gets crossed with a buffalo into a flying, stinging, ramming monster—that kind of thing. He wears a pointy mask and an animal-skin loincloth.
My son, five years old, watches this iteration of Batman religiously—we save stacks of them on the TiVo. Now, I've been careful—I watch every episode before he does. Truth is, I'd probably watch this cartoon even if I didn't have kids. It's a fun take, inflected by the wacky silver-age adventures of the 1950s and 1960s.

You might be a fan of Christian Bale, Michael Keaton, or even Ben Affleck, but if you ask anyone, “Who was the original Batman?” they would most likely say, “Adam West.” The classic ABC series, Batman that ran from 1966 to 1968, was the first major exposure that many people had to the pteropine vigilante and his brightly garbed cohort, Robin. It had cheesy dialogue, used the cheapest of special effects, and is extremely dated. However, all of those things are part of what fans love about the show to this day. People still enjoy the 1960’s Batman for its goofy, campy, and “so bad it’s good” qualities. For these reasons, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment came together to create a new crime-fighting adventure for the Dynamic Duo for the modern age. On October 6, Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders will premiere at New York Comic Con. The straight-to-video animated feature harkens back to the madcap antics that made the classic show so beloved. Also, the two stars from the original show - Adam West and Burt Ward – lend their voices to their iconic roles as Batman and Robin, respectively,…

Context: the context in which this article is placed is one that is well situated within today’s political and economic standings. Within the world today there is much talk about the war in Iraq and the world’s oil reserves. This cartoon looks at the very serious issue of the war in Iraq along with the world’s oil reserves and the relationship between the former US President George W. Bush and Australia’s Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. The issue that Sean Leahy is addressing in this cartoon is the recent decision by Kevin Rudd to withdraw the Australia’s troops from Iraq and by doing so he is leaving President Bush ‘out in the cold’. With the representation of President Bush being there alone it reflects a majority feeling towards Bush that he did in fact make the wrong decision in going to Iraq in the first place. The world’s media for the last five- six years has been fixated on these kinds of stories it is hard to find a news paper in the country that would not have at least on news story about the Iraq war, so although this theme for the cartoon is an old one it is still relevant to this day and for many more years to come.…

There are many songs that represents who I am, but if i had to choose 3 (which i do), i would choose Touch the Sky, Fly, and Titanium. Touch the Sky is in the Disney movie Brave, this represents me by wanting to reach my goals and soar with them. Fly is by Maddie and Tae, and the song is about people that are climbing and trying to reach their goals, but sometimes they're scared. And Titanium, titanium is sung by Madilyn Bailey and it is about how no one can shot done your dreams. These song are the best to represent me and how i want to reach my goals.…

For decades people have migrated to America from all over the world in hopes of having that beautiful home with a white picket fence and a yard big enough for two children and a dog. Today, people are still chasing that dream. They haven’t realized that the American Dream is merely just that, a dream. These immigrants believe that by coming to America their life will suddenly be better and easier. What’s worse is that President Obama and the government led the immigrants on by portraying the American nation to be a place where dreams come true and everyone is welcome. That is exactly what is being illustrated in The New York Times political cartoon, Undocumented Fun For Undocumented Children. Brian McFadden uses eye-catching colors, the southern United States borderline, and U.S. representatives to show how the U.S. government continues to act as if they are willing and prepared to receive more undocumented immigrants.…

Kids are the main targets as audience of the show. This probably explains why Spongebob Squarepants and each of its characters played such a vital role in my childhood. I think that the show also has to take credit for doing a good job in keeping their show safe for its main audience. They do not encourage profanity and there is only mild violence within each episode. I can say that the show is a good watch for kids and I would recommend…

A satirical cartoon is an illustration or comic strip that is created to ridicule others, ideally with the intent of shaming individuals, government or society itself into improvement. Its superior purpose is often constructive social criticism to draw attention to both specific and greater complications in society. Phil Somerville’s cartoon “World Environment Day” published in 2008, advocates a criticism towards ordinary citizens who don’t necessarily care for their local environment. Yet, they make token efforts or publicly proclaim their concern for the world. This then implies that the general public believe they´re saving planet Earth when really minimal action is being done and society is disregarding the pollution. Somerville has chosen to highlight his message through the use of hyperbole, irony, stereotype and visual symbols. The cartoonist aims to achieve an emotional response from the audience, to make the target feel guilty of their lack of efforts towards World Environment Day.…
