The dance starts off when there are 6 women behind cells, the lighting is dark and there is just a dull spot light on each of them and all you can see is there black silhouettes. When they are doing the partner work they use contrasting shapes and the woman is on more of a higher level then the man which shows the dominance of the women and that how they are stronger then the men, and it makes the men look weak and defeated. This is evident when six does a developé and she bends down and puts her foot on the mans shoulder and she pushes him lower. These costumes are revealing because it shows that they have nothing to hide because they admitted to there murders and they don’t care and they are very open and will justify to these murders. This reflects how they don’t feel guilty for their murders and they will tell the raw truth because they deserved being dead, because the men treated them carelessly and then they got their revenge. This doesn’t make the viewer feel empathy for the men it makes us feel empathy for the women and we are on the womens side because they persuade us very well.
This dance shows the mischief, murder and women dominance all in one dance, and it shows that the women have more authority and strength then the men.
The costumes, lighting, the set and movements all compliment each other and make this dance intriguing to watch and you just want to watch more thats why I am thoroughly entertained by this
