Beyond a flat tire, George’s car has a recall on the brakes and parts to repair will take two weeks to receive. The bad news keeps coming as, now without a car, George’s wife and boss both provide him with an ultimatum to begin making some changes or his marriage and career are both over. Desperate to save both his marriage and job, George decides that riding the bus with Joy and accepting her positive vision and motivation are the change necessary to hang on to his life.
Again, George finds himself on bus #11 and after a bit of his usually grumbling, Joy points out to him a sign to the right of her mirror. The sign states “The 10 Rules for The Ride of Your Life”. With great excitement, Joy explains that all her long-time riders learn these 10 rules and they discuss them regularly. Conveniently, George has 10 days of riding the bus to learn the 10 rules for the ride of his life.

• Rule #5 – Don’t Waste Your Energy on Those Who Don’t Get on Your Bus” – You cannot always get everyone to get on your bus and if they can’t fuel you forward don’t waste time draining your energy forcing them. You cannot drive anyone else’s bus. You can only drive your own bus (Gordon).
• Rule #6 – “Post a Sign That Says No Energy Vampires Allowed on Your Bus” – Your bus needs to have the strength to deny negative riders from boarding. Your bus should only have seating for those that share your vision.
• Rule #7 – “Enthusiasm Attracts More Passengers and Energizes Them During the Ride” – Positivity is contagious, and people want to associate with others that express enthusiasm. Sharing positive energy will get others interested in riding your bus.
• Rule #8 – “Love Your Passengers” – You must show love and concern for the riders in your life. Your passion and loyalty to your passengers will keep them riding your bus thus creating more energy and fuel to keep pushing
