Analysis Of The Film 'The Wire'

In episode 3 of The Wire, there are a lot of characters that seem to know nothing more than selling drugs and making money. However, in this scene starting at 10:41 and ending at 12:41 shows that these characters are bit more complex and two sided than we are shown. This scene starts with a very fast pan of the pit area until the camera finds D’Angelo. This pan of the courtyard shows how unsafe it is, and how the characters are being watched and how they should watch their backs. The pan of the camera shows that they are being watched because there is never a specific point of view shown besides what we can only suspect maybe the director’s point of view. The point of view can also be a spectator that is in charge of keeping an eye on D’Angelo
