The Magician’s Twin

“Have I really done this? Am I capable of doing it? Probably I am. I have done such things in the past so I might have repeated such a thing. But the things I have done in the past are so petty compared to this.” he thought to himself. He did not want to think about it anymore- being accused of something he had or had not done. He wasn’t sure. This uncertainty made him more anxious and his head throbbed with pain.

John Wilson, the son of a small time magician, Henry Wilson, lived upto his father’s expectations and much more. Brought up in a family where the only source of income came from magic shows, magic had always been an integral part of his life. As a child, he was fascinated by the magic tricks performed by his father in his shows and tried to imitate them and perform them in front of his friends and relatives after learning the tricks from his father.
As an adult, he loved getting more and more money and loved indulging himself by buying luxurious items. He was never good in managing his finances and so always wanted more and more money. The recording revealed the true facts of the case. In the recording it showed Sarah confronting James for the fraud he had committed impersonating as John.
Since Sarah completely trusted John and knew that he wouldn’t go to such extremes to get more money, her suspicions logically went to his identical twin brother, James. She was well aware of the hostility James portrayed towards John. When Sarah went to James and questioned him, he seemed very nervous and his answers didn’t match the story he told.
