The dishwasher will not discolor the handles like other knives, but it will eventually ruin the knives. To keep the knives looking and working their best they should only be hand washed.
Not Riveted – I personally prefer knives that have riveted handles because of the extra strength they provide the knife. Honestly when I first started using these knives I thought they weren’t going to last long due to not having any rivets in the handle. I will say I am surprised they have lasted this long, but I still think knives with riveted handles are more durable.
The OXO Good Grips comes with 14 pieces, just like the Ginsu International Traditions does, but that is where the similarities end. One of the biggest differences between these two knife sets is the serrated edges, the Ginsu International Traditions only comes with serrated knives, while all of the knives with the OXO Good Grips set are not serrated.
