“A journey of ten thousand miles begins with a single step”, according to a Chinese saying. I took this first step on a long journey across time and space some years ago with the decision to start my doctoral studies. The doctoral thesis brought me back to my homeland, where I had the chance to get to know many people from business and from the government and to study my country from an interesting point of view – that of Corporate Governance.
