To counter the objections which might had been raised here , Woolf overtakes her imaginary narrator and declares that the jostling for status is what an artist must avoid. Woolf supports the creative difference between men and women and imagine it's richness to prevail. She also counters her stand of giving more importance to material things as a prerequisite to write fiction by arguing how the facts supports her claim. Facts shows how material status affect the freedom to write. Intellectual freedom depends on material things and all other forms of art depend on intellectual freedom. This conclusion of the facts is the reason why Woolf had emphasized so much on money and a room of one's own.
Ending up the essay , Woolf urges her audience to write all sort of books , " for books have a way of influencing each other ". She makes them realise that their current advantages are favourable for them to write as compared to the previous ages. She askthem to take their writings as an establishment of a new foundation for the women writers to come. The book closes up with the unwritten essay of the fictional narrator - Women and Fiction - only to show the diverse and relevant thought process behind the arguement of the need of a private income and a private room that fiction writing requires.
