It starts with the spiders spinning webs all over Hildas house both inside and out, but in reality the webs are symbolic to how Hilda feels Edith has behaved towards Hilda and every else around Edith. 4. Describe the relationship between Hilda and the spiders.
She is not afraid of them, but on the other hand she does not want them to close. 5. Why have the spiders moved in on Hilda?
The spiders have come to teach her how to approach Edith and end their relationship. 6. How does Lou react to the spiders?
She laughs when Hilda tells Lou about them because she does not like them herself. 7. What is wrong with Hilda according to Lou?

At first Hilda likes Edith a lot but soon finds out how Edith almost feed on people, their stories and inner thoughts. Hilda backs away from Edith but Edith will not let her do that and ends up stalking Hilda. 9. What is the relationship between the first part of the story about Hilda and the spiders and the second about Hilda and Edith?
The spiders are doing the same to Hilda as Edith did, they move in on her, taking over her space and life completely, but Hilda swipes them away and out of her life.
