Analysis: Three Issues I Value In A Candidate

Three Issues I Value in a Candidate’s Campaign Deciding which candidate one will support in a presidential campaign takes time, research, and much comparison. Candidates will take a stance on certain issues that voters may not agree with, but the voter should decide if that one issue is important enough to them to drop support for a candidate who shares their beliefs and ideals in other areas. In November, our country will choose a new president, and voters will have to make this decision for themselves. Personally, I will support a candidate who agrees with my ideals concerning the issues of education, wages, and taxes.
As a student graduating from high school, the issue of affordable higher education is obviously important to me. I will
support a candidate who hopes to accomplish making getting a college education more affordable for students and their families, so college graduates are not starting their professional lives with thousands of dollars in debt following them. The second issue I would like a candidate to share my beliefs on is the issue of wages and taxes. There is still a wage gap between men and women in America, along with a large gap between the middle class and upper class. When it comes to taxes, women are also still paying a ludicrous tax on necessities like pads, tampons, and other items of the sort, because they are “luxury items”. These issues are important to me, because they affect me. I look forward to being able to vote for a candidate who supports what I believe in, and hopefully make America a better nation with their policies and leadership.
