Men and women all across the U.S. are being beaten down by cops. Video and pictures have been taken to prove this yet this still happens every day. The American Court System is so naive and gullible that they don't understand that assault and battery charges filed by the police are a cover-up for police brutality. All the Quality control mechanisms of government exist only to protect the agency that they are trying to control. Ronald Reagan once summed up the problem before being elected president the first time. Reagan said: "Bureaucracy exists to protect bureaucracy."
In our very own home town of Boise Idaho police brutality is happening. A group of people down were severely beaten down by pigs. This is what they had to say...
"A woman next to me slowly started making her way towards the activist. She rubbed up against one of these riot cops, and then two of them immediately tackled her into the bushes. I instantly reacted by putting my arm out and shouting "No, what are …show more content…
doing?! Leave her alone!" When my arm touched the officer, three of them tackled me into the bushes. After they had pulled me out, one of them sent two crushing blows to my head -- one to the left side of my face, and the other behind my left ear. They then threw me to the ground. One officer dropped his knee, heavily, on to the region of my upper neck and lower head. This was very painful. And the right side of my face was hurting very badly as the weight of his body continued grinding it into the concrete. I loudly pleaded for him to stop, but he kept this intense pressure and pain going." As you can see this is all over the U.S. even in small little Idaho.
Many women are abused just because they are helpless. Here's another story of a victim that was charged guilty of assaulting a cop.
"I was severely beaten by cops from the Braintree police department. I had poor legal representation my defense attorney was a public defender, who had seen all of the injuries that I received from the police, because I was illegally held all night. So I figured that this lawyer would help me in exposing the truth... I guess I was very wrong. I was beaten so badly that I suffered cracked bones, internal bleeding, severe concussion, multiple contusions, and severe injury to my groin. The female matron that was on that night, literally told me that these cops do this all of the time and that this was something that made her sick, but it was a job and she was in fear of retribution. All of this happened because I asked the officers why they wanted my name... I was approached by two officers, while my husband was parking our van and they power-walked towards me demanding my name... I asked them why they wanted my name and what this was about. All of a sudden, one of the officers, who by the way was 6' 5" tall and at least 285 lbs... The other was about 6'2" tall... started yelling obscenities and spitting in my face... I responded by saying that I wanted to know why he was yelling at me like this and asked his name... Well, he responded to the other cop..."Look here we got a real smart ass b**** on our hands" He then punched me in the face and I went flying back onto the cement... They kicked me all over until I passed out... I was illegally held all night long... As they were driving back to the police station, they taunted and swore at me, threatening me and saying "Wait until we get you back to the station" I thought they were going to kill me... When we arrived at a back entrance, there were many officers waiting... I didn't want to get out of the car, because I was scared to death... One of the officers pulled me by my hair and I was literally dragged in handcuffs into the station. I was brought to an area, called a booking area... One of the officers had me by the back of my neck, while the other had one of my wrists... The officer proceeded to take off the cuffs as the other had my arm and was going through my jean pocket... The officer on the right pulled my thumb back and I went back in such severe pain. I literally heard my thumb pop... I was tackled to the floor by several of them...All of them kicking me all over... I was held all night, without knowing what I was there for not read my rights, not allowed bail or to be released in anyway... In the morning, I was brought to the court... Quincy court and charged with assault and battery on a police officer... I asked the judge if I could file charges against these officers and he said no... The people in the courtroom including the attorney, were shocked at my appearance, I was so badly beaten." To make a long story short the woman was charged with assault and battery and the cops got away with all of this completely. She's obviously not the only one. This goes one not only nationally but internationally as well.
On March 1, 2000, unarmed Malcolm Ferguson was shot and killed by police and became one of thousands of Stolen Lives documented in the Stolen Lives Project*, days after taking part in protests against the not guilty verdict for the cops who killed Amadou Diallo, and only blocks from Amadou Diallo's home. Police clam to protect the innocent but how does this look to the youth? I know not well, especially to me. I'm scared to know that I can't trust policeman now a days. I'm not saying all are like this but there's a handful in every town with the potential to do harm.

These are just a handful of the awful cases that happen in our country and other countries as well. But how do these people know what do charge the police officer for? Well there are several things they can charge for, for example:
1. A Police Misconduct Case... Police officers, just like any human being, make mistakes. Some of their errors are very serious and abusive, others are just careless. The area of law concerning police misconduct concerns situations like excessive force (an officer hurts someone unnecessarily), false arrest and malicious prosecution. These are the most common cases that are filed in the Court system.
2. Excessive Force Cases...A police officer acts with excessive force when he/she uses an amount of force with regards to a civilian that is more then necessary. Police officers are certainly permitted to use force and in some situations, deadly force. However, there are times when officers misuse their authority and injure someone without a justified reason. For example, take a situation where an officer stops an elderly gentleman for speeding. The officer asks the driver to get out of the car and while the driver opens the car door, the officer yanks him up from his seat and throws him against the car. This would be an example of excessive force. As there would be no need to cause injury to the driver of the car, the officer would be liable for using excessive force (here, liable means legally responsible in a court of law for damages that the driver suffers from officer's abuse).
3.
False Arrest...Generally speaking, an arrest is defined as any type of situation that you are involved in with an officer where you are not free to leave. If you are under arrest, the next question that should then be asked is what is the reason for the arrest. If the officer does not have a valid reason for arresting you, then you may have a false arrest claim. Take the following example. A police officer sees a young lad standing on the corner, alone, minding his own business. The officer comes up to young man and tells him that he must submit to a search (pat down search). The boy says no and the officer tells him that he must submit. The boy again says no and the officer forces him into the squad car and takes him down to the station. After searching the boy at the station and checking his background, the officer releases him. The young man has a valid false arrest claim. He was arrested without any valid basis whatsoever and brought down into the
station.
A valid federal claim and state law claim could be pursued and won, assuming that these facts could be proven at trial.
In conclusion, there is not much we can do as citizens other than be extra careful about how we address police officers. The best way is just to stay away from them and not harass officers. Most are out their just to do their job and make a living. However others are out there to remake the holocaust so to speak. Researching this topic has opened my eyes to the world of crime...anyone can do it. The best way to stay away from this type of misconduct is to stay out of other peoples business and stay out of trouble.
