Title: Analytical Decision Support System for Business Flow

Objective of Study: To design a framework which can be used to input and analyze the data, helping the management in decision making.

Scope: Analytical Decision Support System for Business Flow is an application that is designed to generate reports of the inputs provided by the management. The System would enable the management take strategic decisions regarding different functions of the company.

The company manages various functions such as, the details regarding the various companies it provides solutions/products to, the channel partners, the expected price quotations, the revenue generated and the inventory levels. The various inputs are then put together in an excel sheet and a forecast is done based on the data. Since the company deals with many products and clients, it becomes hard to analyze the data, that has to be taken from different excel files and consolidated together.

With this challenge in mind, the objective was to create a framework, where certain pertinent inputs can be taken and a comparative study can be done by the management with ease. Hence the application was developed, with Microsoft Access 2007 and VBA(Visual Basic for Applications). The customer, employee, product, and proposal details can be entered in to the application. All the inputs are integrated and reports are generated. The reports mainly showed the yearly, monthly or quarterly revenue generated, product wise, customer wise and employee wise.

The system was developed, according to the specification of the management. The application was then tested, for consistency and integrity. Once the beta test was done, the system was set up in the company network.

Recommendations: The application can be implemented in .Net framework and the functionality of different modules can be integrated. This would make the system more flexible. The application can be set up on the company

Software Solutions started in Idaho as a small company, family owned. Through the 1980s, the company was able to provide reliable software solutions to its customers, creating one of the first user-friendly inventory tracking software solutions to the farmers. Each year, the need for this great inventory tracking software increased. Subsequently, new versions released each year. The company expanded its database software customizable to each of the users. The company was growing so fast that no longer could the small family support this software alone. After much thought the family decided it was time to rent an office space, hire outside help, and build a small help desk for software support. A successful project will ensure constant support for the product, reinforce customer confidence, and in return increase revenue.…

As Spa Works continues to grow by expanding to new locations and acquiring competitors, this has resulted in a lot of legacy systems which are still in place among various locations. This slows down the day-to-day operations and reporting functionalities which delays critical decisions related to customer satisfaction and retention. By developing this new IS system we are looking to forge together existing systems and to better integrate and produce reports in a more timely fashion and also to assist in day-to-day operations by providing a reliable and accurate source of information. This new system will allow Spa Works to better allocate resources to address customer issues, generate real time financial and human resource reports to see the cost and value of people involved in day-to-day operations and to better forecast future requirements to better suit the customer preferences.…

Fellow members of SIDE, I am Omar Graffigna, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force of Argentina. While I do not directly partake in the repression of socialist dissidents of ESP and Montoneros, I believe this dirty warfare is reasonable in order to maintain regularity in our government. I have begun the Condor Missile Program and consistently make decisions on air force matters. I have researched missile technology and allocated funds for our program. I plan to use my unique skill set to create an asymmetrical warfare advantage for us that will terminate leftist and Peronist groups while causing the least amount of animosity and blood shed for both sides of the conflict.…
