1. Subject: This report will discuss the effectiveness of private schooling compared to public schooling
2. Purpose: The purpose of this report is to discuss the features of both public and private schooling and decide which type of schooling would be most effective.
3. Readers: Parents and high school juniors and seniors who are wavering between enrolling their child in public or private school
4. Context of use: This report is to be used by high school juniors and seniors and their parents in deciding whether going to a public or private college will provide for them a better education.

Making the decision between attending a public or private college seems to be an issue for many people. College is a vital part of succeeding later on in life, so choosing the right college for you is essential. While all colleges specialize in preparing you for your future endeavors, do some prepare you better than others? Is paying a higher price for education at a private school worth it in the end, or can you get the same education at a public university? This analytical report will uncover the features of both private and public colleges and go on to assess their similarities and differences. To conclude, it will analyze the effectiveness of private versus public schooling and reveal my decision on which type of schooling is a better choice for incoming college freshman based on my research. The contents of this report are of importance in that beginning in the fall of 2014, I myself will be a college freshman and have narrowed my options for attendance down to two colleges, one being private and one being public.
