In Stan’s second album “From the Inside Out” He has the song that inspired the name of the album “Inside Out”. It’s a striking power house pop moment which sets the tone for the whole album. “There I no need to tell you much about it, because if you listen to the lyrics it explains it for you.” Stan says, deciding to let his music speak for itself. “This is who I am, if you look within/take me as I am, this is all of me,” He sings in the song. Stan Truly expresses himself when the song breaks down half-walk and Stan’s gospel-styled vocals soar to the front with extraordinary resonance.
Also on the album, hit single “Unbroken” sounds even better than before within the context of the album, whilst new songs like “Homesick”, “Stuck in a Box” and “Love Graffiti” gives listeners Stan’s full, wide – ranging vocal experience. As he realised he was going to the top this influenced him to write songs directed the emotionally vulnerable and tell everyone they can be successful if they just believe. Stan Walker also brought much of the R&B style back into New Zealand and his mixture of pop made it appealing to a wide range of people and cultures.
I believe Stan Walker has had an immensely positive impact on not just New Zealand and Australia, but the whole world’s music industry and this is shown with him already performing with other well-known musicians such as Jessica Mauboy who featured in his song “Galaxy” and Ginny Blackmore in his latest song “Holding You.” His music is very relatable especially for teenagers, with songs on bullying and reaching potential. Many of these songs have really shown teenagers that they can be successful and they could turn out just like Stan, all they have to do is believe in
