Jack’s cowardice showed when faced with danger throughout his pursuit to treasure. In the movie there is reference to Jack previously having a binding contract of employment with Britain. Jack was not much about loyalty as is many pirates, this means he refused to work with them and started to go on his own and conquer uncharted treasure. Jack’s personality fit the description of a non-committed individual and had continuously betrayed his contract with Britain causing Britain officials to arrest him for not being obedient to their rules and contract.
