what is plentiful as much as what’s scarce”(3 stanza). This quote explains this because some that have less but still love what they have and that should be the same for the more wealthy people.
“Hard Questions”: In the poem, “Hard Questions”, it referenced at the beginning, how buildings are just built and not thought about. This can relate to many people not wanting to ruin the nature aspect of life and don’t like man-made items. At the beginning, I noticed that there was sarcasm through the rectangles and squares to make houses. The poet used this through the specific words of housing that sort of sounds like a ‘make your own house’ game. This poem talked about how many of the places we make today is used to business and that creates money. I think this can make our theme, which is, just like what is there for you already and don’t always think about the economic view because if we just look around there’s already tons to notice. This theme is represented in this through the nature aspect then getting changed with complexes and roads.
Comparing/Similarity: To compare both of these poems, I first thought about their themes. I think that both of these poems have similar themes because it relates to being grateful for what you already have and not having the fancy stuff. This was relevant in both of the poems through the way that the author used specific words to describe something. Also, money/wealth doesn’t need to always be included in your life. In conclusion, both of these poets tried to convey poem readers, like me, to understand the meaning of certain things in our daily lives.
