This paper will discuss and review how to properly analyze a web page. It will identify a website intended as a resource for human services and analyze the site based on evaluation criteria as a state. It will discuss the values and relevance of the site to client or human services agencies.
ANALYZING A WEB PAGE For this assignment I have chosen to identify, analyze, and evaluate the Human Service Agency know as Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children (OBHS). The Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children not only provides housing for children and those children of unwanted pregnancy they also provide for their physical needs, their emotional needs, education and the spiritual need as well. With technology the way it is today people turn to the internet to find every day services that they need information and help with. It is really hard to find the right website without leading to some confusion. In many cases people do not know how to correctly analyze a website because they have not been given the liberty on how to do so and honestly until what I learned I was doing in incorrectly as well. But learning from the tutorial Widener University (2011), I can now say I fully understand that a website must meet the criteria of authority, accuracy, currency and have an objective in order to be a reliable website.
The website for Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children (obhc.org) it meets all the criteria. From what I reviewing the website and following the rules from the tutorial Widener University (2011). I would analyze the OBSH I would first with the following steps to determine the credibility of the website.
Authority: When verifying if a website had authority it means that the organization responsible for the website has listed the organizations or
