Anarchism People of the labor union, we are gathered here because we all agree on one very important topic. We are here because we hate the state because it is evil and should cease to exist. The authority of the state is nothing less than legalized oppression sitting in the hands of the powerful, propertied, and privileged. The answer to all of our problems is anarchism, which is centralized around the belief that authority is unnecessary. I want to bring to your attention three virtues of anarchism. These virtues include complete liberty, pure equality, and economic freedom. First and foremost, anarchism is centralized around the virtue of complete liberty. The reason everyone here joined this labor union is because you want a voice and representation. Well, with anarchism complete freedom and unrestrained political equality is possible. We want freedom from the state because it is exploitative and power hungry. Authority is limiting human life because they make all of these laws that take away from the way our country is meant to be. If we are a “free country”, then why is there hierarchy and authority? The state damages both those who are subject to authority and, also, those who are in authority. The state is there to support the powerful and oppress the weak. We who are subject to authority are not getting the liberty we deserve because those in authority were basically born into it. Of course, having so much power and privilege is corrupting those in authority. Our labor union has suffered enough from exploitation! We don’t need a government or a hierarchy to tell us how much money we can make; we can live in cooperation with each other and have complete liberty. Secondly, the next virtue that supports anarchism and what we need is pure equality. Most of you all are here because you want to be treated just as fairly as everyone else in the job world. With pure equality, we could acquire utopianism. A
