Some of the positive things about China’s location was that it was separated from the rest of the world which caused very few conflicts to occur with other early civilizations. However due to this separation from other civilizations, China did not have as much influence in technology or culture from other civilizations.…
Both the Han Dynasty and the Roman Empire covered a lot of territory in Eurasia. From the year 1000B.C.E. (when the first settlement on the site of Rome occurred) to 600C.E. (just after the fall of both empires) the technological advances made were astonishing. Maps, pictures, and written documents are able to portray the details of what life was like in both of these large empires. All three of these will be used to explain how more technological inventions allowed these two empires to expand their control over the land. Although the Han Dynasty and Roman Empire were both large and powerful, it was mainly due to their technological advances.…
Also they created many job opportunities by creating vineyards for agriculture, trenches, establishment of manufactures, in which it provided more employment for those whites of higher class. The Chinese were welcomed at moment in time, until America went into an economic depression in 1873, and the jobs became decreasing, so in result the anti-Chinese organization did not want them at all. It all resulted in the establishment of the Chinese Exclusion Acts and the extensions of them, so they could get deported back to China, and the only way the Chinese could prevent that from happening was to obtain a certificate of proof to be allowed in America. However, only the Chinese whom were from the higher class: such as teachers, students, travelers, etc. had the opportunity to do so, but still it was a difficult task to obtain through the Chinese Government. It appeared to be that the ultimate decision in regard of the acts was not economical as the Congress would state, but it was more of racist factorial; although, the economic factors sure did play part, because from the exclusion of the Chinese decreased in the capital that masters and employers would receive when the Chinese provided cheap labor. “But even if the Chinese are prohibited from becoming a part of our body of citizens, it would be both impossible and unkind, at this time when China is looking to the United States for help and guidance in the formation of the new republic, to prevent the Chinese from coming to our country to travel and study and learn from us.” (WELLBORN,…

Some believed that the Bubonic plague laid the foundation for the economic growth and democracy. It killed 30 to 60 percent of Europe. This caused the caste system that had been in existence for hundreds of years to fall apart. This created higher wages and increase land owning. Also, in 868 CE the first book was printed in China. If printing was not invented in China(730 CE) then we would not have been able to record information or data. We would also not be able to look back on previous books and learn from them. If we did not have printing we wouldn't have even been able to learn from our actual history book which we use in our classes today and which I am using now.…
There are several major Han dynasty inventions that have been famously credited to this period. These inventions have in one way or another shaped the way our world is lived in right now. The first and perhaps the most popular is the invention of the paper making process during the Han dynasty. Although historians claim that the oldest piece of wrapping paper can be traced back to the Chinese during the 2nd BCE, the process of making paper was invented during the Han period. China went through many significant changes and continuities. Many ideas that involved society, religion, innovations and arts were many of the things that either got modified or remained the same. In Ancient China between (221 B.C.E) to (1271 C.E) China had. To begin with, during China's earliest stages, it began with the Han Dynasty, where agriculture was the main focus but as time went on, the dynasty came to a halt and a new ruler would step in. This ruler's name was Sui Wen-Ti and during the Sui Dynasty he brought China back together until it hit its downfall around 618 C.E, and the Tang Dynasty took the opportunity to rise. During this dynasty, China became more stable with a strong central government, economic revolution, agriculture…
All in all, ancient Chinese inventions were not only important when they first came to be, but many of them are still an important part of society today. If not for silk, we would not have clothes to wear. If not for paper, we would not have written historical records. If not for the compass, we might not even have found America. Inventions whether it be from ancient China, India, or the Indus Valley, all play a vital role in…
Americans usually discredit the Chinese in the founding of America. However the Chinese put a large amount of work into helping construct the western part of the United States. In addition, they personally may have suffered more than Americans in the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad. In fact, some could argue that the Chinese laborers had the most difficulty surviving and thriving in the west due to natural dangers, economic deprivation, and social threats.…

From my point of view there will always be artifacts, materials, symbols and art pieces that will last forever in terms of their value and meaning. Multiple examples such as the Egyptian pyramids, the Eiffel tower, the magnificent art pieces of Michelangelo, the man on the moon are a series of events or pieces that have a tremendous signification, because of their cultural value, scientific discovery or improvement or even controversial meaning. Moreover, the Selection of timeless events or unforgettable products from the entertainment industry of the 90’s make me reason about other timeless and symbolic artifacts from other decades. To illustrate this, Michael Jackson’s songs from the 1980’s as thriller can be nominated as a timeless world’s…
