They were a bureaucracy, that means they had a system of government that has levels to it. That means that some people had a higher authority than other officials. The highest level of authority was the Pharaohs. They were the kings in Egypt. The reason they were in this high place of power is because they were thought of being a gods, but they were also human, The Pharaohs were born into power, this is called hereditary rule. Hereditary rule passes from father to son , but they did intermarry so the power stays in the family. The Pharaohs controlled the whole entire Egyptian kingdom. Hatshepsut,Thutmose III, and Ramses II are examples of Pharaohs, This made the Pharaohs the most powerful people in Ancient Egypt.
Ancient Egypt had a very stable and successful economy. The Egyptians were amazing traders they would trade gold .papyrus ,linen, and grain. These were very valuable items in ancient civilizations. Also they grew crops like barley,wheat,and corn. The rich soil was due to the flooding from the Nile River. The Nile River floods every three months and this brought great soil. The Egyptians utilized this flooding for their success. They made canals and use these canals to farm more efficiently. They also conquered new kingdoms. They would get resources from these
