Anderson's Drug Problem
Anderson, Indiana has a very big drug problem that needs to be taken care of. One of the major drugs being used in Anderson is meth, there have been 25 cases of people being arrested with the possession of meth in the last year. There are more drugs going around Anderson than ever before, but meth is one of the biggest problems that Anderson is facing. There is a list of different drugs going around and there are a lot of problems that have arisen from its happening.

The thing about the drug problem is that it brings more people that use the drugs, more of the law enforcement and hospitals time and resources to deal with these people. It also takes the money of people and businesses that could use the money for a better purpose and help the community as a hole. It brings more violence with the people that hold the drugs and sell them that could end in a drug bust. This could end in shootouts and innocent lives lost and when people hear things like this they don’t want to come to Anderson.
Anderson could fight the drug problem by lengthening the time period in which the person would serve for holding the drugs or selling them. Which might discourage them from doing it or getting them off the streets so others are not in jeopardy. This would be better for Anderson as a hole and make it a safer place for anyone that would like to come. It would also bring more money in for businesses and it would allow more people to get jobs.
So to sum up Anderson it isn’t the worst place but, it problem isn’t at the top of anyone's list to visit. It does have a drug problem, and it isn’t the safest place, but it does have some good areas. It is an okay place to be and live for those that can handle it. Hopefully the drug problem will go down and Anderson will be a safer place to live in
