Andrea Jung, Indra Nooyi, and Brenda Barnes are three remarkable women in the world of business but even more than that they are superior leaders in their field. Andrea Jung is the CEO of one of the largest woman based companies, Avon Products. Indra Nooyi is the CEO of PepsiCo a worldwide company with locations in over 70 countries. Brenda Barnes was the first women CEO of PepsiCo and went on to Lead Sara Lee until her recent stroke.

Within the first year of becoming the CEO of Avon Andrea Jung changed the slogan for of the company and the make-up of items management team. She determined that if the business was going to survive it needed to expand, if was into appeal building on knowledge from her prior business knowledge, and then moving into the international world stating “women of other counties where lipstick too”(Andrea Jung, 2011), and finally her most recent expansion was into men’s skin care products. In additional she has changed the focus of the company and the image as the market has demanded the change to stay a house hold name. When Andrea Jung accepted a middle level position she was the only women in the position currently 50 percent of the company’s management is women and 85% of the management in the United States is women. She also believes that you need to love the job that you do or you need to find a new one as a leader is only passionate about something they believe in or feel as if they are part of. In knowing how hard it is to be a career woman she has also installed that it is acceptable for a person to leave work to attend a child function or take care of an ill child as long as it does not interfere with their performance.
