Andrew Stanton's Finding Nemo

In the thrilling adventure, Finding Nemo, directed by Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich, Marlin, the father of Nemo, goes through life very cautiously, scared from everything that seems unsafe for him and his son. He has been like this ever since his wife, Coral, passed away trying to save her baby eggs. Nemo was the last egg left so Marlin had to protect him with his life. First of all, while Marlin is taking Nemo to school he tells him “That's my boy. So, first we check to see that the coast is clear. We go out and back in. And then we go out, and back in. And then one more time--out and back in. And sometimes, if you wanna do it four times--” (Stanton, Unkrich, X:XX) This shows that Marlin tries to keep his son safe from everything around him.
In fact, on the first day of school Marlin tells the teacher, Mr. Ray, “Just so you know, he's got a little fin. I find if he's having trouble swimming, let him take a break. Ten, fifteen minutes.” (Stanton, Unkrich, X:XX) That shows just how demanding Marlin is when someone is taking care of him. In fact, when Nemo and his friends go to the dropoff Marlin shows how mad he is, “Nemo! What do you think you're doing? You're gonna get stuck out there and I'll have to get you before another fish does! Get back here! I said get back here, now! Stop! You take one move, mister. Don't you dare! If you put one fin on that boat..are you listening to me? Don't touch the bo--Nemo!” (Stanton, Unkrich, X:XX) Nemo gets take by divers and that shows the reason that Marlin is very strict.
