He went to Cotabato and practiced his talent by making billboards for movie in theaters for 2 weeks.

He studied Fine Arts in the
University of Sto. Tomas

he died on the cross for us. But look around you-everything goes on as if nothing has happened.
He died in vain, people don’t really give a damn.”

Painted

in 1976. Ang render’s agony with a visceral figurative style. Christ’s head is consumed by the crowns of thorns, and his body integrates into a bloodied, bony, throbbing mass. It is an uncompromising rendition of the mortal body as a metaphor of human condition.

boasts of an impressive provenance, coming from the collection of a former senator, a trail-blazing architect-interior designer, and a much-acclaimed artist.
Ang Kiukok’s Pieta intimates Mary’s discreet but palpable presence in the background. This piece poignantly reminds us that even as we slip away, someone somehow does not let go of us.

 Recently Ang’s paintings seem to have mellowed to less violent subjects such as harmless looking clown. He bowed in mute despair.

Technique Used…

his

ability to stretch an image without resorting to sheer contrivance or fabrication.
The angular shapes tending towards cubistic abstraction, the strong contrast between black and white, and the disfiguration of the human anatomy are all but the artist's effort of 'objectifying' his own internal relationship with the external world.



Has a distinct style that fused influences from cubism,surrrealism and expressionism.


