Angles – Instruments of Allah
Explain what Angels are.
Angels are spiritual beings created by Allah from light. These beings are sinless and are invisible to the human eye. They can take on spiritual form or human form. Angels accompanied humans in their lives by guiding and protecting them through their difficulties.
Provide an example from the Qur’an and the Hadith.
“Then we sent to her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects” Qur’an 19:17
“Prophet Muhammad said, "I saw Gibril in the fashion that he was originally created in. He had 600 wings. Each wing filling the (entire) horizon. (The east to the west, as far as the eye could see)."
1. As Salam (السلام) Peace and Blessing (ask for peace and blessings and angels will help pray and ask Allah for what you want)
2. Al Muhaymin (المهيمن) The Guardian, the Preserver (angels are guardians to humans)
3. Al Sami' (السميع) The All Hearing (angels listen to all prayers)
4. Al Basir (البصير) The All Seeing (angels are witnesses to Allah)
5. Al Latif (اللطيف) The Subtly Kind (kind hearted)
6. Al Khabir (الخبير) The All Aware (angels are aware of what is going on around them)
7. Al Muqit (المقيت) The Nourisher (Nourishes humans)
8. Al Karim (الكريم) The Bountiful, the Generous (generous when one seeks help)
9. Ar Raqib (الرقيب) The Watchful (watches and guides humans)
10. Al Mujib (المجيب) The Responsive, the Answerer (a model of Allah’s works)
11. Al Wadud (الودود) The Loving, the Kind One (kind and loving just like Allah created them)
12. Ash Shahid (الشهيد) The Witness (they are invisible to the human eye but are still watchful)
13. Al Wakil (الوكيل) The Trustee, the Dependable (you can rely on them when you need them)
14. Al Qawiyy (القوي) The Strong (able to heal and guide making the strong)
15. Al Wali (الولي) The Protecting Friend, Patron, and Helper (guider, protector and helper)
16. Al Hayy (الحي) The Ever Living (lives for eternity)
17. Al Wajid (الواجد) The Perceiver,
