Animal Cruelty Investigatorss
Animal cruelty investigators can be employed by cities, humane societies, animal shelters, states, and law enforcement agencies. They are detectives but for animals that are being abused, neglected, and abandoned. That includes cats, dogs, rodents, rabbits, birds, reptiles, livestock, and horses. Animals cruelty investigators usually are investigating animal cruelty claims, interviewing people, interrogating suspects, getting search and seizure warrants, catching and removing stray or abused animals for unsafe homes, moving the animals to shelter or veterinary offices, recording the living conditions of the animals, organizing adoptions, educating the public about animals welfare, and so much more.

While those clips are being shown, the song ‘In the Arms of an Angel’ by Sarah McLachlan is being played in the background. Photographs with several statistics are being shown.…

The ASPCA believes that the successful prosecution of animal cruelty offenders should include fines, jail sentences, and counseling to prevent additional acts of cruelty ( Guiding Principles, 2016). They believe that the people who commit criminal acts toward animals should get a punishment that will match the offense. The assumption that they are making is that there is a correlation between animals and human violence. The are also assuming that if someone is abusive to animals, then they are abusive to humans as well. This is not a fair assumption. There are certain people who have criminal pasts and they find a new start in life by taking care of pit bulls or horses. Animals can help them become better humans. As well as helping them learn love and…

Animal abusers are heartless people who don’t deserve to live life with their crimes unnoticed. Lisa Weisberg, senior vice president of government affairs for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says, "If you treat animal abuse as a $50 fine and a slap on the wrist, people won't take it very seriously” (Kenna 1). Charging the abusers only a small fine is just not strict enough. This form of punishment does not fit the crime or prevent it from happening again. American people need to recognize animal abuse as the serious crime that it is and the consequences of these actions. The United States should establish a national animal abuse registry in order to decrease acts of animal abuse.…

There are no real statistics to date on the vast amount of animals being abandoned each year, yet it is evident that it has become an issue of life or death for many of them. Animals released into an environment in which they are not familiar with, will have a lower chance of surviving. Many organizations are doing their best to help decrease animal abandonment. The Humane Society works with millions of volunteers to ensure the best environment suited for abandoned animals. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, also known as the ASPCA, is another organization that serves to decrease animal abuse and enforce arrest towards careless pet owners. Among these organizations, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, PETA, is responsible for creating awareness and putting an end to animal cruelty. There are other ways an animal can be a victim of animal cruelty, without actually being harmed. Animal Hoarding, a practice of animal lovers, is ironically another related topic of animal cruelty. In some views, this is an attempt to save the animal, but many other views differ, saying this solution will only cause problems. Even though there are lots of organizations that help prevent animal cruelty and abandonment, there is…
