Animal Farm And Lord Of The Flies Comparison Essay

George Orwell wrote the famous novel Animal Farm. The novel is about a group of animals revolting against humans, towards the middle of the book pigs take over. There are two leaders in the novel, Napoleon and Snowball whom are pigs. They establish seven condiments that they would go by, to keep each other civilized. The Nobel Prize winner, William Golding wrote Lord of the Flies. The famous novel is about a group of boys stranded on an island, striving to build civilization. The characters in the appoint Ralph as the commander, along with Jack who is the leader of the hunters, together they try keeping the group of boys civil. As you can see there’s a system that's developed throughout the novels to keep the character from falling into savagery.
These novels share an effective theme of leadership. The similarity between both novels is that they both establish and maintain civilization; they also illustrate that power cause’s corruption. One of the many differences between these two novels is that The Lord of the Flies is concerning humans while Animal farm is about animals also Animal Farm was first owned by humans whereas in The Lord of the Flies the island wasn’t owned by anyone and in addition no one was living there. The characters that have the most intriguing developments are Ralph and Jack in Lord of the Flies along with Snowball and Neapolitan from Animal Farm. The Conflict development in animal farm starts of very vicious due to the animals and the humans fighting against each other, Whereas Lord of the Flies starts off innocent, when Ralph and Jack respected each other’s position and slowly progresses into savagery, which is when Jack started to try overruling Ralph. There is no conflict revolution in Lord of the Flies except that they were rescued by the Navy General, the revolution in animal farm was resolved when the animals overruled the human and built their own
