Snowball was chased off by Napoleon. Like Napoleon, Stalin was not concerned about
debates and ideas, he valued power for his own good. Napoleon's dogs are like Stalin's
KGB, his secret police to eliminate anyone who disagrees with him. Stalin used
propaganda symbolized as Squealer. Napoleons plan to build the windmill reflected
Stalin's five year plan for restoring the nation's industry and agriculture. Animal farm also
symbolized different battles. The Battle of Cowshed is parallel to the Civil War. The
Battle of Windmill reflects the USSR's involvement in World War II. The Battle of
Stalingrad is when Stalin defeats Hitler just as Napoleon defeats Frederick.
