Animal Farm: Karl Marx Vs. Old Major
The portrayal of Karl Marx and his influence is comparable to the role Old Major played in Animal Farm. Both Karl Marx and Old Major sparked up a rebellious behavior within the individuals who were inspired by them. Karl Marx, for instance, believed that for equality to be executed, a revolution must occur first. Likewise, Old Major believed that humans were the problem and told the animals that they had to rebel against Man to achieve liberty and changes. Another way in which they are the same is that they both vocalized their ideas which led to a new way of thinking being developed. Marx’s ideas and his ideal society was part of the outline of the Communist Manifesto. The Communist Manifesto outlined what a socialist society would look like
