According to George Dvorsky Biogerontologist, animals have shorter lifespans and therefore can be more easily observed over the course of their lives. It would be harder to examine what the lifetime effects would be on the subjects if we using human beings as opposed to using mice and rats. Normally we would have to test on humans and it would make it harder for us to truly understand the effects that the testing would have on them in a lifetime as opposed to using the mice and rats to monitor the lifespans. In George Dvorsky’s article he states that the testing in some cases would even extend the lifetimes of some of the test …show more content…
Although people say that animal testing does not give results, vaccines such as the vaccine for hepatitis B and Polio have successfully been created and have worked in decreasing the amount of cases. As well as the testing is most efficient way of finding a cure quickly, scientists can develop all sorts of cures not only to humans but to the animals too by the same research. Society should support animal testing and not view it as cruel and inhumane because it helps better our community as human beings, societies and even our
