Don’t Make Hopeless Animals Suffer
Man’s best friend is the dog, so what makes people think it is acceptable to experiment on all kinds of animals? Millions of animals across the country are caged up in labs in order to conduct painful experiments. The mental abuse of being locked up alone is almost too much to bare for the creatures. In addition, scientists continue to make an estimated 100 million animals every year suffer and die in cruel chemical, drug, food and cosmetic tests, biology lessons, medical training exercises, and curiositydriven medical experiments. (PETA. 2012).
Not only is animal testing immoral, but in humane. House hold pets are considered part of the family, yet those families contribute to the torture of innocent animals by buying products by manufacturers that test on animals. Scientists experiment by rubbing products in their eyes, their skin, and injecting chemicals into their body to see the reactions they could possibly cause to humans. Companies, such as Avon, Clorax, Johnson & Johnson, and Procter & Gamble, all test on animals. By buying products produced by companies that are animal friendly, families can support the appropriate treatment of animals all around the world.
PETA is a wellknown organization of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Together, this foundation adapts lifestyles that protect the creatures that walk this earth. By

eating vegan, not wearing clothes made from animal skin or fur, and boycotting products that do experiment on animals, these people are able to make a positive impact on the animals’ lives.
Many celebrities are known to support PETA’s mission also by donating funds and famously going “bare” for the camera, stating they would rather be naked then wear animal fur. With the support of thousands of people, not only celebrities, PETA has taken msny steps to protect sd many animals as

“The world does not need another eyeliner, hand soap, food ingredient, drug for erectile dysfunction, or pesticide so badly that it should come at the expense of animals’ lives” (Top five). Animals are being wasted every year by testing them on useless products that are not necessary. In addition, the animals are killed at the end of each test, thus, thousands of animals die with pain. The tests the animals receive are inhumane. “To test rabbits for development of toxicity, a pregnant rabbit is taken and exposed by force feeding, throughout her pregnancy. She is killed on the day she is expected to give birth. Her babies are extracted and evaluated for birth defects” (Cosmetic). These types of testing are morally wrong.…

It's hard to imagine when drinking a glass of milk or frying some eggs that animals are enduring harsh treatment in the process of getting such products. Taylor makes a valid point when she says “It is impossible to produce eggs and milk without vast amounts of killing” (203, par 3). The author believes that even though animals used for their byproducts are not being slaughtered, they are still being treated inhumanely because of their poor living conditions which lead to many unnecessary deaths. Such living conditions include chickens being tightly compacted with no room to walk and a lack of sunlight and fresh air. According to Taylor, this falls under animal cruelty. By informing the reader of a different manner of animal cruelty, Taylor is able to convince an audience to rethink buying from farms that are inhumane.…

The experimentation on animals may be an iniquitous act to some people; conversely, some people might see it as a tool used to save many lives. Animal experimentation in the medical field has been useful in many ways. An estimated 26 million animals are used every year in the United States fir various types of testing. These animals are used for scientific and commercial testing to develop medical treatments, determine toxicity of medications and chemicals, check the safety of products destined for human use and other biomedical or healthcare purposes. This testing on animals is cruel, inhumane and should be banned. It should be banned because the animals are held and live in inhumane conditions, it is harmful and at times lethal to the animals and there are other research method available that do not require animal testing.…

Last year, over 167 million animals died due to animal research. At this rate, the number of animals that will die this year will be well over 200 million. Animals used in these testing facilities are treated in inhumane and disgusting ways. Dogs are forced to eat pesticides, monkeys have their skulls cracked, mice grow tumors larger than their own bodies, bunnies are blinded, the list of cruelties goes on and on. After having these excruciating and terrifying experiments performed on them, they are usually dumped back into a cramped…

“Rats and mice may be a good place to start… but after a point, to really learn about humans you have to try stuff out on humans,”-(the good bad and ugly video). Animals don’t react to stuff the same way humans do all the time, and when it’s someone's life at risk scientists and doctors should be using humans to experiment on. Humans give consent results when experimented on, so they can get the most precise results as possible.…
