Cruel Procedures For many years, animal testing has involved a lot of controversy regarding its practices. Large amounts of dead animals end up dead or contaminated. Animals are no different than humans. Unfortunately they also feel pain and pleasure, which is why they should have equal treatment. There are other methods that can be done to prevent animals to be forced to do things that can harm them. What scientist must understand is that animal testing is cruel and inhumane.
The issue has been increasing and becoming a problem world wide. Some of the experiments can give unnecessary torture and even if testing procedures have lead to discoveries and human advantages, there is still …show more content…
The animals endure awful procedures and most of the time they are put back in their cage injured without any pain killers. Imagine being restrained and having no control over any aspect of your life. Most of these animals live in misery, but luckily there are many animal right organizations that believe that no animal should suffer and die when there are other effective alternative methods that do not involve hurting lives. For example, the center for alternatives to animal testing CAAT or PETA are groups concerned with protecting animals from being abused. CAAT is the leading alternative center in the United States, recognized internationally for its efforts to promote the development of alternative methods in research and product safety testing …show more content…
These modern methods include sophisticated tests using human cells and tissues, also known as in vitro methods, advanced computer-modeling techniques often referred to as in silico models, and studies with human volunteers (PETA). The techniques have been more accurate and possibly end up achieving the same scientific aim. Cosmetic corporations are probably the ones who might need to use other methods. Using the cells and tissue of humans cells can be non-expensive and can provide the scientists with information specifically relating to humans. Computer models and simulations help by looking at virtual human organs and study the human body structure, functions, and reactions Microdosing has also decreased animal testing. Humans have volunteered to take small amounts of drugs in order to see if it creates an adverse reaction. The drug can be high enough to cause some effects but not harm the whole
