According to PETA.org, more than one-hundred million animals die yearly because of animal testing. This is a serious issue that increases the chances of extinction in animals. Animals are tested for companies like Maybelline, Clinique, and Benefit. They all use animal testing on their products to test if they are suitable for humans. But this doesn’t even make sense, our technology is advanced enough to not have to use animal experimentation. All kinds of animals are tested on every day. One Green Planet brings to my attention that we end up “supporting” animal testing. We pay taxes. When we pay taxes we are paying for animal testing ourselves, therefore supporting it. PETA.org brings to my attention in their article titled, Experiments on Animals: Overview, that with human volunteers we can get scientific problems figured out and find solutions to our problems without harming anyone or anything. Including harmless animals.
