Anne Frank Biography
Annelies Marie Frank was born on June 12th, 1929 in the town of Frankfort am Main, Germany to two loving parents, Edith Frank, and Otto Frank. They lived on Marbachweg at #307 Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She had an older sister named Margot Frank who was 3 years older than her. Anne was always jealous of Margot, since she did so good at school Margot was set as the example and their parents compared the two sisters to each other constantly. Anne didn't like being compared to her older sister every time her sister got a good grade in school or did something nice for others. Her favorite family member was her father and she even had a pet name for him "Pim" which she used to refer to him in her diary. Her best friend's name was Hannah, they did everything together. Anne began school in the year of 1934. She attended the Montessori school near Merwedepleir and every day she rode her bike to school. Anne was a very talkative school girl so she talked during class which earned her lots of extra homework each night. One of her favorite classes in school was history, but she loved writing most of all over anything. Anne also loved studying Greek Mythology and really disliked learning math since she never really understood what was going on. After the school day was over Anne and her large group of friends would go the ice-cream parlor called the Oasis in her neighborhood. She also enjoyed going to lots of parties with all of her friends. On Anne's 13th birthday, the 12th of June 1942, she was given a diary that would later become the famous book and a very important symbol of the Holocaust called The Diary of Anne Frank. Anne loved her diary and made up a best friend of hers that she would write to named Kitty since she didn't really have anyone to confide in.
