Anne Frank Differences

In both “Anne Frank” and “Freedom Writers” they show how people can be different depending on the situation they are living. For instance, in “Anne Frank” it shows that people can be harsh and selfish when there in a bad situation. When Mrs.Van Daan first arrives at the annex she seems to be a much happier person because nothing really bad has happened other than being hunted down by the Nazis. Once reality starts hitting her, she has to live with many people and learn to live with them, she will not be happiest nor be the nicest. (Anne Frank). Similarity Eva can seem selfish or careless when she first finds out she has to defend her boyfriend Paco from being arrested for being a suspect for killing another gang member. She is willing to defend her own people because that is the way that she was raised. But once she meets Mrs. Gruwell she sees that you don't always have to defend your own people if they are in the wrong. Once Eva tells the truth and no longer is lying she seems to be herself and much more happy compared to when she was in a tough situation. Ever since Eva confessed the truth she seems to be a completely different person compared to when she had a tough
They both go through different difficult things. Anne's situation with living in an Annexe for two years with many people can make her feel frustrated and make her make selfish decisions that can better herself and not be the thoughtful girl she used to be (Anne Frank). On the other hand, Evas decisions can seem selfish because she is protecting herself and not get into bigger problems but in reality she is looking out for her own “kind”. She has so much pressure to lie in court so her boyfriend Paco doesn't go to jail for shooting the other gang member and blame another suspect. If Eva decides to tell the truth she can be hated from her family and friends who are involved in gang business(Freedom
