Anne Frank Figurative Language

Figurative language is very important to the “Diary of Anne Frank”. An example of this is person vs conflict. In this story, the characters, Anne and her family, shows person vs society conflict. “Yesterday Father told me we were going into hiding. Where, he wouldn't say. At five o'clock this morning Mother woke me and told me to hurry and get dressed”(Goodrich and Hackett 704). This shows person vs society because the Franks have to move. They have to move because of the society. Person vs society is also shown when the families can't talk because of the workers. “So to be perfectly safe, from eight to in the morning until six in the evening we must move only when it is necessary, and then in stockinged feet.
