Time is Ticking
People in 2014 are finding themselves running out of time. The use of social media is getting out of hand. There are more creative ways to express something or someone, including dancing and nature. People think too much and begin to multitask which is not good for our brains. So much is forgotten with so little time. Many people are wasting time trying to figure out what they want to do and becoming stressed out. The same things are happening everywhere throughout history. Attention spans are short with the frequently used technology. People do not think there is enough time in a day to finish what they started.

Carr reminds us about the effects of distraction and the way we interact with the internet and our abilities to think and even feel. Nature is something that can take your mind off things. When people truly get used to having the Internet in their lives, they find new ways of meditating on the things that they learn. Empathy, compassion, and deep thinking require a calm, attentive mind. It can also express your own sentiments on your lifestyle. There are many negatives and positives on our increasing loss of the ability to contemplate.
