Everybody can go on the internet and mostly also write what they want. Most people write comments about other people or about for example businesses. The most comments aren´t nicely because the people who write on the web do it often anonymous so they can write everything they want. Anonymity on the internet might be good for the world.
+ It´s a good thing that people can be anonymous on the internet because than they can write whatever they want. For example, if somebody got a good point about something but he can´t be anonymous he will formulate it more carefully which probably isn´t necessary.
+ Another thing is that when someone want to change his or her job and want to ask some information about the other job it’s going to be a problem so in a situation like that it might be better to be anonymous.
+ Maybe even the worst thing is that when people can’t be anonymous they’re going to invent names or maybe even use names from people they know. Of course this could be used as a joke but sometimes it could end wrong.
- There is a prohibition in South Korea about the anonymity on the web. The inhabitants from South Korea were required to sign up with their BSN. This ended in a terrible disaster because the personal data of 35 million people got hacked. So these things could be the effects of not letting people be anonymous on the web.
- These days everybody search on Google about people, specially with jobs. If a director wants to hire someone the first thing they will do is Google the name. And if people can’t be anonymous on the internet anymore they will get a bad reputation and won’t ever be able to get a job again.
So, anonymity on the internet is good for the world because people can say whatever they want without thinking about it which could result in some good things. Everybody can get information about for example jobs and with anonymity you prevent that people use other names and finally people’s personal data
