He observed the masses of vegetation decorating the walls with peeling paint and chipped wood. He then stood back in anticipation. The doors opened soon after he knocked, revealing a barren interior with level stone walls. Everyone was very much confounded by this. They entered the castle and found a passageway as the doors shut behind them. There was no way to go but forward so they tentatively walked down the narrow passage with Owen leading the way. When the tunnel ended, they arrived in a sizable room with dozens of overflowing bookshelves lining the walls and some scattered throughout the room. The books held the answers to all the questions one could ever possibly think of. Alex was right. If there was an answer, he’d find it there.
