“HOMEWORKS”
1. The conflict in this story is the boy, Jason, who doesn’t wants to done his homework and he was scolded by his parent for his act. Jason talk back to his parent and his parent was shocked for what did he said. Jason feel that being kids for that particular time was hard and he want to play instead of finishing his homework because he wanted to have some fun. His parent just worried about his future and wanted him to improve in his academic performance.
2. During that time, the technology was so much developed and has ease the life of the people. In this story even Jason’s parent have shown to us how technology have bring easiness to their life. For example, his father read the newspaper which is display on family room ceiling-viewer and he was floated two feet above the flat, bed-shaped, anti-gravity. All he need to do is give a command to the monitor and it will turns to whatever he wanted to read. His mother also shows how developed that time is when she pressed a red button and ordered “Othello” the movie from Shakespeare’s classical play and then colorful, life-like, computer generated, hologram actors appeared in their family room and began to act. So that is what I can infer from that statement. In future the technologies was so much developed and it will ease the people for that time being.
3. The similarities that can be found in both of them is that both of them are hot tempered. Jason talk back to his father when being asked to finish his homework. He was not satisfied with his life as a kid at that time. Meanwhile his father could not stand with his attitude tend to scold him.
