1. INTRODUCTION
Anti-Asian riot as defined by word web is an act by someone going against a violent mob. Anti-Asian riots have been an issue in the pacific island countries, particularly Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Solomon Islands. It was a push for Chinese to be deported out of PNG and Solomon Islands as their population has exceeded in numbers in this century compared to the past. These riots where accompanied by damage of private Asian properties, stores and also wanted the Asians specifically the Chinese out of Solomon Island. However, was this act an act of a clear minded citizen or a selfish self-centered citizen? Well in this essay the author will discuss some of the influence that this anti-Asian riot in 2006 has on the general public in Solomon Island. 2. CAUSE OF THE RIOT
The cause of the anti-Asian riot is based on two very important areas that the author has identified and had seen it to be the main cause, apart from the tribal conflict that has associated with the general election as an excuse.
2.1 The increased number of Chinese in Solomon island
The two identified cause are; the increased number of Chinese into Solomon Island and the Mal treatment of indigenous. The increase had given less ownership of land and business to the locals suppressing them
