Antigone Book Report

Antigone is introduced as a determined woman who is wanting to take in the honor for the family by burying Polynices, her brother, even if it might cost her own life. Ismene, Antigone’s sister, is introduced as someone who is against Antigone’s plan in attempts to save her family from any further embarrassment from their corrupted family history.

Creon declares a law to his city that Polynices should not be buried. Those who do not obey his law will be publicly stoned.

Guard saw Antigone burying Polynices which was forbidden according to Creon’s law. However, Creon thinks that he was bribed and will thus be killed if he doesn't find Antigone.

Guard finds Antigone and brings her to Creon to be judged for her works.
