Introducción

Para desarrollar este análisis sobre el GIddens comenzare por indagar quien es Anthony Giddens, que es la teoría de la tercera vía, y que plantea esta teoría, para luego poder realizar mi propia interpretación de acuerdo a la información de la que dispongo.

Anthony Giddens

Giddens nació en Emonton, Londres, el 18 de enero de 1938. Es un sociólogo británico, reconocido por su teoría de la estructuración y su mirada holística de las sociedades modernas. También adquirió gran reconocimiento debido a su intento de renovación de la socialdemocracia a través de su teoría de la Tercera Vía.

    The word “sociology” has its roots from the Latin “socius” which means “companion” and the Greek “ology” which means “the study of”. So basically, Sociology is one of the social sciences which aim is to explain human behaviour. Unlike Psychology, Sociology is much more concerned about social group’s behaviour including whole societies and even international and global groups. Of all the social sciences it is Sociology that most closely scrutinizes change and conflict in the wider society.
