Having different customs helped shape each country’s idea of how to expand. In document two it gives some examples of the different customs of the French and some from the Savages. One big difference is actually in their shoes. In the French custom patterns and raised shoes are considered the most beautiful shoes you can have, but the Savages have very flat shoes that are much wider. The shoes being wider allows them to stuff them to keep their feet warmer in the cold winters.

The houses are very close together and there are many farming fields. That was an image of a typical French village in the new world. The Spanish villages were similar but they arranged their houses into a circular shape. Both countries had land reserved for farming and had their houses close
