After the successful American Revolution, political conflicts rapidly broke out between two major political groups. The Feudalist or the power of the states lead by Alexander Hamilton and the Anti-Feudalist power of the government lead by Thomas Jefferson had opposing views on the future of America. Both parties’ vision counterattacks each other’s beliefs. America was suffering from internal separations and war debts. The two parties had a different path planned out for America’s future. The Feudalist concentrated on a stronger central power based on a loose Constitution, commerce development, manufacturing, a national bank, and high tariffs. The Anti-Feudalists on the other hand opposed everything the Feudalist stated. Alexander Hamilton is a believer of a loose interpretation of the Constitution. He believes that the Constitution is a living document capable to changes and adaption of new laws such as the addition of the Bill of Rights. Hamilton was a big believer in paying international war debt as soon as possible using any kind of mean necessary; therefore he proposed the idea of a National Bank to increase America’s economy. Being the country’s secretary of treasury Hamilton was focused on the improving the economy from commerce and manufacturing. Thomas Jefferson opposed Alexander Hamilton beliefs in every single way possible. He is a believer of a strict interpretation of the Constitution.
