Apartment House
Compare & Contrast
Many people nowadays face a difficult decision when they buy their own home. The question is whether they should buy a house or an apartment. Are there more advantages or disadvantages to living in a house rather than in an apartment? There are several reasons why people choose to move into a house or apartment. I prefer living in an apartment at this stage of my life but someday in the future I would like to live in a house of my own. There are advantages for living in a house in respect to privacy and freedom. Usually houses come with private yards or gardens or extra space for hobbies. For families houses are the best choice of having a safe playground for their children. The other thing about houses is you will have a freedom than an apartments. Living in a house means having everything your own way. You can choose a number of rooms and you can paint walls what color you want. The house provides more outdoor activities. If you have a garden you can grow vegetables or flowers.
However there are also disadvantages to staying in your own house. Not only are the costs usually higher but the residents are usually responsible for all repairs and maintenance. Security is also a concern and will come at a very high price if you want to keep a watchman or gate keeper. Houses security always depends on the location where you live, so when you bought a house make sure to check the house’s location.
The apartments have more advantages compared to the houses. One of the key advantages of an apartment is security. Apartments usually locate in good places like city centers, to convenience stores, schools and so on. Also living in an apartment you don’t have to maintain it yourself. All repairs cost is included to your additional cost. Usually apartment complexes have club facilities so they will provide you access to a gym, sports, a swimming pool etc. which will help you to stay active and healthy. Moreover if you don’t have any relatives or friends nearby, if you go to a flat you can get acquainted with some of the families living in the apartment.
Some downsides of living in an apartment are limited or no freedom to make changes and making sounds. The apartment walls usually will be very thin so you will have difficulties to sounds coming from other rooms or from your neighbors. If you live on the first floor in my personal experience you will get annoyed from footsteps or if they have a child I think you should move to another floor because, you can clearly hear when they cry.
In conclusion both houses and apartments have advantages and disadvantages. They are probably equal. However your own home is always the best thing, so I would prefer living in a house rather than an apartment. But all things considered the best housing depends on that situation and personal preferences.

There are many different pros and cons when it comes to renting and buying a house. One pro to renting is that you have more flexibility. You will be able to move if need be, and breaking a renting lease is much easier than selling a house. Another pro of renting is that you will have more liquidity. Renters don’t have to make a down payment, pay closing costs or deal with real estate taxes. By not having these costs renters are able to use their money…

Living at home can benefit an individual as it helps to promote independence. Promoting independence is important as it means that they are more willing to help themselves if they are able to. Also if they are able to become more independent, they are more likely to become more confident, which means they may be able to do more things for themselves, therefore making them more independent, which therefore benefits the individual as they are in a positive atmosphere. Another reason why living at home can benefit an individual is that they may have more time spent with loved ones and are more likely to get visits from friends and family. This is important as it keeps that sense of “normality”. If the individual was in a care/residential home, they may not get as many visitors as the family/friends may be busy during the visiting hours. Another factor is that the individual is able to maintain a little more control over daily routine, which is important as this leaves the individual feeling cared for and listened to. Also the individuals are surrounded by their own possessions with fond memories which make them feel more secure. Also it makes them feel more relaxed about having care in their own home as they are not being put in an unusual environment.…

Renting now can make things become a bit easier later. Saving money is what every American wants to do. Buying a home can not only hurt someone financially but it can put them in a bind that can have them paying a bill for the rest of their life. The economy is on a rollercoaster right now so making the decision to buy a home can be a tad bit tricky. Buying a home is not a one time transaction because once you have the home you continue to pay bills such as mortgage fees and cosmetics. Thinking about the money that you may have to come out of is a good enough reason on why you would want to save up money to take care of some of the fees that will occur when making the decision to buy a home. If you own your home, you can claim your property taxes on your tax return. You can also get a tax credit if you make certain renovations to your home to make it more energy efficient - like energy efficient appliances and windows. This one is pretty minor, but assuming you have a fixed rate mortgage, your payment should stay the same. This provides a nice protection against inflation. Renters on the other hand, will watch their monthly payments rise as inflation rises. One of the things my boyfriend and I are most excited about is the ability to customize our house. Apartment living is full of rules and restrictions of what you can and can’t do. I am excited to have the freedom to paint the walls, landscape, and install a new faucet – if I would like.…

Renting can put things in someone else’s hands to where you can save more money from your monthly payments. When renting an apartment you will never have to worry about fixing the plumbing, sink or dishwasher because maintenance is paid by the landlord. Not having these fees leaves you with more money in your bank account expanding your option for your home when you get to that decision. The decision to rent now and buy later can give you enough time to wait on the economy to get stronger and much better than it is now. Buying a home will be a much smoother process. Rent now and buy later is the best way to go, at this time in our economy.…

Another key factor that should be considered when looking at a new residence is how long one plan on staying in area. According to a report on www.bloombergy.com, there has been an increase of 33% in house prices since 2006 has made renting to appear more favorable, and that trend is expected to continue in the next four to five years. It appears that people who value mobility, have blended families, travel constantly may consider renting instead of buying. If he/she does not plan on living in one place for more than five years, then home ownership may not be the right choice at this time. Consider where you are in your career. If you often travel or transfer from place to place, the length of time to sell your home could…

I agree and believe with all my heart and soul in this quote by Benjamin Franklin. A house becomes a home as you live in it and begin to add your own personal touch. It becomes a home when you begin making memories and add life to it. Although a home is not always a safe haven for people, this reminds us that life without a safe and nurturing home can have crucial ramifications for health and well-being. A home should be a place where your family and loved ones can help you make sense of life when life becomes chaotic and complicated. A place where you know your troubles are swept away. “A home is where the heart is!”…
