Apollo By Chimamanda Adichie And The Two Brothers
Throughout the short stories Apollo by Chimamanda Adichie and The Two Brothers by Leo Tolstoy the authors reveal that someone may never get the same type of happiness again. While Raphael has Apollo, Okenwa helps him put the eye drops in because Raphael can’t. Okenwa and Raphael were having fun hanging out with each other, but then Raphael’s eyes healed. Okenwa thinks to himself “I wish he had not healed so quickly” (Adichie, p. 6). Okenwa was having so much fun with Raphael and didn’t want it to end. Everything has to eventually come to an end or else it didn’t happen. Okenwa still wanted to take care of Raphael, he still wanted to talk about movies with Raphael and he still wanted to feel true happiness...with Raphael. Okenwa never got the

    “Icarus” by Edward Field is about a young man named Icarus Hicks who experiences anguish while living in the human world, but attempts to fly again.
