During the Apollo 13 mission, the crew was faced with odds that were not in their favor. They were faced with many uncertainties that would possibly be fatal if they went wrong. It all started when a crew member stirred the o2 tanks, and the tanks burst. With this predicament, they could not possibly land on the moon. Mission Control or "Houston" had to come up with a flawless plan to get the U.S spacemen back to the Earth.…

In Boyz n the Hood, these factors that are placed in their life keeps Tre and his neighborhood friends in harms way and in dangerous environments of urban life. Their family principles truly shaped them and this is shown in the movie as they are depicted before and after puberty. A stern father who was educated and very well spoken raised Tre. His personality is not like everyone else’s in his neighborhood. Ricky and Tre, are the exception to the neighborhood rule they really have aspirations and goals further from high school graduation and never included themselves in violent or mischief actions. Ricky is a teenage father who displays the feminization of the African American male as the stereotype athlete and ticket out of the hood by many…

The actual launch of the Apollo 13 was on April 11, 1970. Two days into the mission it looked like the smoothest flight that the Apollo program had ever seen. "The spacecraft is in real good shape as far as we are concerned. We're bored to tears down here." said Joe Kerwin of mission control (3). At 55 hours the crew held a TV broadcast for 49 minutes where they showed off their living conditions and how they worked in weightless situations. Nine minutes after the broadcast mission control instructed that Odyssey to give their oxygen tanks a stir and moments later oxygen tank No.2 in the service module exploded, due to an exposed fan wire. The eruption then damaged oxygen tank No.1, causing them to start to lose oxygen rapidly. The cover of…
Many proofs of the landing have been released to the public. For example, there is one piece of evidence that is impossible to have been from Earth. A .6mm glass spherule produced by a meteorite impacting onto the lunar soil. Dr. Marc Norman explains, "We've found a particle of fresh glass in moon rocks that were produced by explosive volcanic activity and by meteorite impacts over 3 billion years ago." In basic terms, this specific particle could have only been produced on the moon here on Earth water rapidly breaks down such volcanic glass in only a few million years. Which leads theorists to question themselves if it really indeed happened. But an open investigation is supported by people overseas too. Vladimir Markin, the spokesman for Russia's investigative Committee, penned a column for the Russian newspaper Izvestia focusing on the US FIFA corruption investigations. The list of investigations included the Apollo mission that everyone is debating about. Markin Cites the loss of the original Apollo 11 moon landing video and the “disappearance” of 400 kilograms of lunar rocks collected during Apollo missions. How can 400 kilograms of lunar rocks just disappear lunar rocks are not things you just…
Over the years NASA has launched many Apollo Missions which have led to our better understanding of space and other planets. In 1972, astronaut Charles Duke from Apollo 16 collected lunar rocks in an effort that they may be tested to determine if the interior water levels of the moon. Recent beliefs are that the moon had almost as much water as earth does when it was first formed. After calculations of the amounts of chloride-35 and chloride-37 that should have been found in lunar rocks and soil to support this belief, scientists have determined that the “bone-dry” calculation made by NASA 40 years ago, is correct and that the moon hasn’t had water in the interior and quite possibly the surface.…
Amidst the shortcoming of the Cold War, the goal of the 1960’s was “to go above and beyond” in space exploration by successfully landing a man on the moon, which would serve as a gambit to conceivably lead the United States to victory. Before astronauts ventured beyond the earth, scientists had to assess the space environment and the hazards of human exploration. Soon after President John F. Kennedy assumed office in January of 1961, the space race was undoubtedly underway, and the United State’s primary focus was landing a man on the moon--hence, the Apollo Program. These Apollo Missions are significant in that America received technical credibility and hasted the end of the Cold War in our favor. Also, Carole Stott, a long-time astronomer…
In the beginning, Gene Kranz talked about being a team. Teamwork played a significant role due to the success of the mission of Apollo 11. Teamwork made such an impact because it was the highest of intelligence of guys sitting in those chairs guiding Neil Armstrong to either land, abort or even crash with this mission. Adding on, all these genius have to have a different perspective of the plan to land on the moon. With this in mind, all these young men had to come together and literally put together a plan that was educational and logical enough for everyone to be on board with. Also, they accomplished something big together because they were together. No matter the outcome, landing or crashing, they were going to take the responsibility together…
Zeus had an affair with a mortal named Leto. Hera finds out and sends the Python out to disturb her from having her baby on “terra firma.” Leto takes boat to the island of Delos. Artemis is born first and then Apollo. There’s a myth of what may have happened with Apollo as an infant. The myth states that only after a few days after Apollo was born, he killed the Python. Although Apollo was punished for this because the Python was the son of Gaia. He was forced into being King Admetus’s servant.…
In different photographs taken on the moon which are supposed to be taken at least ten miles apart have backdrops which are the exact same. NASA claims that this is because the moon is smaller than the earth therefore the horizons can look notably closer than what they actually are when looking at it. The hill backgrounds of all pictures have roughly the same shape and are almost identical but the objects in the foreground are always different. This indicates that NASA may have filmed this in a film studio and the same backdrop has been used in all scenes to save money instead of buying several backdrops which would have made it less suspicious.…

On July 20, 1969, the first astronauts set foot on the surface of the moon. In the short period of time they spent exploring the surface of the moon they conducted many experiments on the texture, the atmosphere, and even if there was any sign of life. They recorded their observations and when they landed back on Earth, NASA took over and examined the samples even further. But even till this day 46 years later, scientists around the world are trying to piece together the clues to help them prove if there is indeed sustainable life on the surface of the moon. When the moon’s surface samples were brought back to the NASA laboratories for examination, I believe that the scientists there first examined if the samples had changed at all based on…
