Apostle Paul's Letter to Galatians
Apostle Paul wrote the letter of Galatians to churches in southern Galatians. His main aim was to remind people on how weak our human bodies can be. Galatians 5:16 says, "…walk by the spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh". We are nothing without the power of Christ in us. Previous verses tell us that we are made free, Christ made us free from the law meaning that we were given the ability to do things and make decisions on our own but at the end of the day we should know we would be made accountable for our actions.
2: Sin has been increasing day by day and this is because of the change in culture, time and most of it all the difference in situations thus increasing the width of the river and probably making the interpretation of the bible different from how Christians in the past interpreted it.
We are to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. We as Christians have filled our hearts with so much bitterness and anger that we forget that we are a body of Christ and we ought to help each other through difficult times that we face. As Christians we should live by what the word of God commands us to. Loving one another has been made the greatest commandments of all. The moment we grasp the fact that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, left his heavenly throne just to be a savior to us, shows how much important and valuable we are to him.

Step one of the Interpretative Journey for the New Testament letters asks the reader to "Grasp the text in their town." By this the author wants the reader to understand the difference in culture and time, as well as understand that the message Paul was trying to teach when writing that letter to the Galatians. In chapter 5:16-18, Paul states very clearly and to the point, "Let the holy spirit guide your lives, then you wont be doing what your sinful nature craves." This powerful verse allows the reader to understand how great the fight between the flesh and the Spirit are. These three verses allowed Paul to reassure that anyone who walks in the path of the Spirit will less likely give in to the urges of the Flesh. Those who do right to fulfil their obligation to the Spirit are slowly cleansing their own soul of their sinful desires.…

Paul the Apostle gave us not only some of the most profound pieces of early Christian theological reflection, but also some of the finest, poignant writing in history. Throughout Paul of Tarsus’ life, he has been able to contribute to the development of Christianity through his heritage, his personal encounter with Jesus and his life as a missionary for Jesus. AD 33, before Paul converted to Christ, Christianity grew only amongst disaffected Jews. A Jew himself, Paul spoke Greek and inherited Roman citizenship. This enabled him to put Jewish ideas into the language of the Gentiles, and because of his efforts, through his missionary journey’s throughout Asia, Macedonia and the West, Christianity grew from its beginnings in Israel to the rest of the Roman Empire.…

While an examination of Paul’s Letter to Philemon suggests that the Bible calls for leniency in the treatment of fugitive slaves, especially when master and slave both share the status of being Christian, contrasting Paul’s treatment of Onesimus to the treatment fugitive slaves typically received at the hands of the Roman system of slavery that Paul was familiar with makes this fact virtually undeniable. Furthermore, it strongly suggests that the Bible breaks from systems of slavery that encourage the abuse and chastisement of fugitive slaves, especially when master and slave share the status of being Christian. The Roman attitude towards fugitive slaves is exemplified well in the digest of Roman law compiled by the order of Justinian the first…

Step One: Paul is the writer of the book of Galatians. (Gal. 1:1) Paul refers to the audience as those in Galatia. (Gal 1:2) “Galicia was the region of central Asia Minor habituated by Celtic people.”1 “The theme of Galatians, like that of Romans is justification by faith.” 2 Paul wrote the letter because of false teachers who were undermining the NT doctrine of grace. The paragraph before, “Paul warns them that the best attitude against false teachers is not to strive with one another.” 3 The main paragraph (v.15-18) Paul tells them to be led by the Spirit. He concludes, “With a caution against pride and envy.”4(v.19-24) Galatians 5:16-18 still applies to us today. According to most of the people in the world, one of the biggest problems that we face is not the failing world economy or the growing civil unrest in the Middle East. Instead most people in the world believe that we are the main problem, before any of the other struggles that might be going on. A better way of saying it would be that we as humans are the cause of the problems that we face. Those problems stem from the fact that we as humans don’t always get along with each other. Some people even say that if there weren’t so many “stupid” people in the world, it would be better place to live and there would also be fewer struggles around us. In the Bible we see that mankind has struggled to get along with each other since the fall of Man in the Garden of Eden. Since the Fall of Man, each of us is born with a sinful nature inside of us that makes us want to sin and rebel against what God would want us to do. In fact, God wants us to get along with each other and His Word is a great place to look to when it is difficult to get along with a co-worker or family member. With all of the knowledge of the Bible, and what it’s teaching could help us to do in getting along with others, we as humans still pick and choose what we believe to be the best solution when it comes to dealing with other people; whether it is good or bad for the relationship.…

We battle within ourselves with our sinful wants and desires and following the Lord. Paul talks about the war that occurs in the members of his body (Romans 7:21-23). Romans (3:9-20) also speak about how no one is righteous. Paul continues by saying “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” This continues to prove that we have a sinful nature. We are not stuck in our sinful ways. Paul also speaks about our sinful nature does not control us but that the Spirit does as long as the Spirit of God lives in us (Romans 8:9). You also need the Spirit of Christ in order to belong to Christ (Romans 8:9). Even though we are born with a sinful nature and fall short of God’s glory we also have God’s grace by having the Spirit of God in us as long as we accept Christ…

Consequently, these elements will affect us behaviorally, mentally, emotionally and physically. Throughout Chapter 6-7 Romans Paul tells believers that we must not be conformed to the natural sinful nature, which leads us to corruption, but to the Spirit. Paul also lets believers know the as Christians we will have many struggles throughout our journey. In Chapter 7 of Romans, Paul tells the believer of his struggle to live a righteous life and to fulfill the demands law, and his frustration with the sin nature that dwells within him (Dockery, 1998). Here, Paul is teaching believers that natural world is a part of all of us and we will always struggle with the elements that make up our flesh, but we don’t have to conform to it. Paul teaches believers that we must take control our sin nature and die to it daily. By doing this believers can receive the Spirit of adoption, so that me no longer walk in the natural, but in the…

Jesus Christ is the perfect example of charity. In His mortal ministry, He always went about doing good, teaching the gospel and showing tender compassion for the poor, afflicted, and distressed. His crowning expression of charity was His infinite love and compassion for others. He said, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13). This was the greatest act of long-suffering, kindness, and selflessness that will ever be known. The Savior wants all people to receive His love and to share it with others. He declared to His disciples: "A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another" (John 13:34-35). In relationships with family members and others, followers of Christ look to the Savior as their example and strive to love as He loves, with unfailing compassion, patience, and…

In society today, envy and anger run rampant among people. Those with envy and anger show their hatred toward the world in many ways, including mass shootings and harming others both physically and mentally. Taking the lives of innocent people has become commonplace. In Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus describes the greatest commandment by stating, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” If one cannot love oneself, one will never be able to love their…
